At Buyacamper, we’ve spent the past 30 years proudly converting and selling Volkswagen campervans. VW is in our DNA, it’s where our passion for campervans began and where it continues to thrive. But we also know that one size doesn’t always fit all, especially when it comes to budget.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Levante Custom, our newest style of campervan conversion; this time, built in a Ford Transit Custom.

Why the Ford Transit Custom?

We’ll be honest: the most important aspect of any campervan conversion isn’t the conversion itself, it’s the base vehicle. VW Transporters are iconic and reliable, but they also carry a premium price tag. For those who love the idea of van life but need a more budget-friendly starting point, the Ford Transit Custom offers fantastic value, without compromising on space or quality.

Same Quality, Same Craftsmanship

Just because the base van is more affordable doesn’t mean we’ve cut corners on the conversion. In fact, the conversion cost remains exactly the same as our VW builds. The difference is purely in the vehicle price. You’ll still get:

The Levante Custom can be built like the Levante Pro or the Levante Six- either with 2 back seat belted seats or 3. The interior width of the Transit Customer is wider than the Transporter so can accommodate a slightly wider bed in either style of conversion without compromising on storage.

Bonus

Here’s a bonus: the Ford Transit Custom is actually 2 inches wider internally than a VW Transporter (although wing mirror to wing mirror, exactly the same). That extra space might not sound like much on paper, but in the real world of campervanning, it makes a noticeable difference in comfort and layout flexibility.
